SPRING MEETING

Moulsford, Oxford

SUNDAY 21ST MAY 2017

Our Spring Meeting this year is aimed at our Student Membership but is open to all guests of NAMIR members who may be interested in making musical instrument repair their main or part time career. It is hoped as many professional members as possible will also attend to offer support and advice to those just starting out. The BRING AND BUY SALE gives the opportunity for many of us to look at our workshops and clear out some of those duplicated tools or spare parts that have been cluttering up their workspace for years. Those bringing items for sale will please label them with their name and the asking price. Those contemplating purchases please bring cash. Please let me have a list of what you are bringing for sale so that I can get this circulated beforehand. (Contact Jim Beckett jimbeckettmusicrepair@talktalk.net )

Musical Instrument repair is a great job and we all love our work but we don’t do it for love, we do it to earn money. This session is all about the transition from student to professional. A panel of four members who have become professional over the last few years will describe their experiences and answer questions about all aspects of starting in the business. There will also be comments from long established repairers. Everything you need to know from equipment to insurance.

If you can attend please download the flyer which has all the details.

EVENTS ARE OPEN TO MEMBERS AND TO GUESTS ACCOMPANYING MEMBERS.
